INAKOS (The International Association of Korean Studies in Indonesia – 인도네시아국제한국학회) is an international association established on May 7, 2009. INAKOS is committed to becoming a leading organization in Indonesia in the fields of research, partnership, and the development of Korean Studies, with a primary focus on advancing education for younger generations and contributing to national aspirations. INAKOS serves as a hub for Indonesian scholars to implement and further develop their knowledge of Korean Studies, ensuring that all academic works become a valuable legacy for future generations. To realize its vision, the association is committed to carrying out six core missions:
- Enriching members’ knowledge to broaden their perspectives on Korean culture,
- Developing interdisciplinary research to advance education and cultural understanding,
- Building research networks among scholars and institutions,
- Expanding domestic and international partnerships to enhance teaching systems and public services,
- Actively conducting and publishing research findings,
- Organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences on Indonesia–Korea relations.
Through these missions, INAKOS strategically plays a vital role in maintaining and strengthening the strategic partnership between Indonesia and Korea from academic and cultural perspectives.
